Sew Bee Inspired - Patchwork and Quilted Creations
Sewing is Jeanette's love and therapy that the day job tends to get in the way of!
Jeanette feels lucky enough to live on the stunning North Cornish Coast near the idyllic village of Boscastle where she works in the delightful 150-year-old granite primary school after moving to Cornwall in 2017.
She has been an avid sewer (is that a word?) since her early teens (so a long time now) and has throughout her life made many of her own clothes. After celebrating her 60th Birthday in 2019, her sister treated her to a day out at the American Museum in Bath to visit the Kaffe Fassett Quilt exhibition. She was so enthralled by the techniques and admired the complexity of both the modern and antique quilts on display that she wanted to learn the skills.
The stunning scenery and coastlines of Cornwall are her inspiration along with the local beaches which inspire her creativity, often coming back from such walks and heading straight for her sewing room.
I live alone with my two cats Marmite & Pickle who pretty much rule the house, except for my sewing room from which they are banned!!! My 30 plus year old son lives close by and luckily is very artistic and I often call on his skills to help out, my lovely logo is the result of one such favour!.
I hope you enjoy looking at my items and of course hope you also decide to buy something too, comments, questions and suggestions are of course more than welcome.
Oh, also if you see something you really like but would prefer a different colourway, please ask as I would be more than happy to oblige.
